今天開始說MARC的結構

機讀編目格式標準=MA chine-Readable Cataloging record

到了1995年, 至少有60個國家的國家圖書館發行該國的磁帶機讀編目格式; 其中, 一半採用 USMARC 格式, 四分之一採用 UNIMARC 格式, 其它的四分之一採用 UK MARC、MAB、InterMARC等格式。

l  中國機讀編目格式目標有四個:

1.     研訂中文機讀編目格式 (Chinese MARC Format), 作為國內外目錄作業之規範。(有關係)

2.     合作發展圖書資料自動化作業系統, 以改進圖書資料處理技術及圖書館資訊服務。

3.     建立中文資料庫, 並引進國外資料庫, 以應資料查詢之需要。

4.     建立全國資訊網, 以配合國家建設之需要, 並促進學術之研究與發展中國。

今天一上課和上次一樣有隨堂測驗，一樣是有關於ISBD，這次的考試題目是1. 2010年5月ISBD Review Group的中國籍委員是誰。2. 2010年ISBD適用的資源。3.2010年的ISBD的目標。4.何謂正題名。5.何謂著者敘述，因為也是可以參考自己所帶來的資料，所以幾乎都有寫出來，但老師還是要求我們帶回家重寫下次交給他。



MARC的結構
l   由1966年10月開始
l   1986年的資料顯示, 已有21個國家圖書館將國家書目以機讀編目格式發行磁帶Inte, 大約有14種不同的規格。
l   到了1995年, 至少有60個國家的國家圖書館發行該國的磁帶機讀編目格式; 其中, 一半採用 USMARC 格式, 四分之一採用 UNIMARC 格式, 其它的四分之一採用 UK MARC、MAB、InterMARC等格式。

l   現在就沒有UNIMARC 只有MARC21

11/27 ISBD

今天一開始上課時教授要我們把1981年ISBD修訂委員會的目標以及ISBD的目標，因為是可以看自己帶的資料，所以答案應該都對。ISBD的2010年版有六個目標，在ISBD的概要中正題目是必備但不能重覆。而在標點符號方面，有很多要注意的地方，only one space is giver是其中一個。縮寫字也有簡略說了一下，正題目與著者敘述要清楚。最後老師要我們把著者敘述的內容寫成中文，我自認為我英文程度算不錯，但在翻譯時還是得靠GOOGLE翻譯器
